The Doubling of History Theory

The Doubling of History Theory is a name that I just made up, but a concept that I didn't.  It states that when there is good reason to say so, history doubles itself such that the same events that took place exactly year n/2 will take place in year n.

Many have employed this theory in blogs.  For example, see here from me a few years ago and here from Rav Fish and here and here from Gilui.

As Rav Fish pointed out, the idea behind this theory in use during the most recent years comes from the Ariza"l, who says that the Rashei Teivot of אד"ם stands for אדם - דוד - משיח.

(A similar idea that is based on a verse in Parshat Balak is found in the Yerushalmi in Shabbat at the end of the 6th Perek, where the return of prophecy is predicted to come in double the time since the time of Bil'am. The Rambam makes use of this Yerushalmi in his Iggeret Teiman and said that prophecy should return in the year 4972 (1212 CE or 1216 CE - see the footnote there).  However, this did not come to pass due to our many sins.)

Getting back to our days, as was already mentioned by Rav Fish, 5772/2=2886.  David started to rule in Hevron in the year 2884 for 7.5 years, at which point he started to rule in Yerushalayim after the death of King Sha'ul.  When and for how long Ish Boshet ruled is at a major argument - here's what I found with minimal research (there may be more opinions):

#OpinionWhen and for how long did Ish Boshet rule?
1Seder Olam Ch. 13Only 2 years - there were 5 five years w/o a king over Israel
1aRashi Sanhedrin 20aThe 5-yr break occurred after Sha'ul's death, followed by 2 years of Ish Boshet, followed by another half-year break
1bTosafot Sanhedrin 20aHalf-year break after Sha'ul's death, followed by 2 years of Ish Boshet, followed by the 5-year break
2Metzudat David on Shemuel Bet 2:10For 5 years, he only ruled over a few territories, but for his final 2 years,  he ruled over everyone (besides Yehuda)
3Malbim and Ralbag thereThe first 2 years, he was king over everyone (besides Yehuda), but his rule slowly declined in the next 5 years to the benefit of King David

According to Rashi and Metzudat David, 2886 is insignificant.  According to Tosafot, on the other hand, 2886 signifies a time when King David was the only game in town, albeit in a limited area.  And according to the Malbim and Ralbag, it signifies the beginning of the growth of King David's kingdom.

Just like King Sha'ul and Ish Boshet were from the tribe of Binyamin, Israel is lead by Binyamin Netanyahu.  What King Sha'ul was to Agag is what Netanyahu was to Arafat.  Ish Boshet represents Netanyahu's second chance at power even though it is not expected to last.  It is to be replaced by a descendant of King David speedily in our days, Amen.

At this time. Netanyahu is languishing in Migron like King Shaul did before his son took on an entire Philistine Garrison near Michmash. He also may be Shilo since his name means Shai lo, gift to him. The key to this mystery is where is his son, Yehonatan (or Yonatan), as he is known as both. It is Yehonatan that has the rei'ach of Mashiach ben Yosef and forges a link between his father Sha'ul and David HaMelekh. So if Netanyahu is Shaul of Sheivet Binyamin, and his spiritual son is Yehonatan, for whom Netanyahu signed the Wye Accords to get him released, then watch Migron and its fate. It seems to be the key to forging that link to ben David. Right now Migron Bet is being built at the bottom of the hill next to the road that leads to Kochav Ya'akov and Psagot. There are massive infrastructure projects being built between Kochav Ya'akov and Migron Tachton or Bet at the bottom of the hill by Bibi and Barak. Our King Shaul (King Bibi) is obsessed with this project. He has spent tens of millions of shekels on this boondoggle. In the meantime, Rav Shmuel Eliyahu of Tzfat about one month ago dedicated an overlook of both Wadi Yonatan and Migron in the name of his father Rav Mordechai who changed Pollards name in prison to Yehonatan, while interred in Marion, Illinois. Wadi Yonatan or Yehonatan leads to the clearly visible pass of sheer cliffs. Yehonatan climbed the cliff toward Geva Binyamin (which is also plainly visible) where he took on an entire Philistine garrison with his armor bearer and won while his father was dawdling around Migron (Shmuel Aleph 14). Methinks that Rav Shmuel is privy to certain information that we were not informed of from his esteemed father. The literature announcing the dedication of Mitzpeh Eliyahu plainly said: "As they were walking and conversing, behold!- a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated between the two of them, and Eliyahu ascended to Heaven in the whirlwind. Elisha was watching and shouting, "Father! Father! Israel's chariot and horsemen!"
something to think about.

I should point out that the big move of Migron from on top of the hill to Migron Tachton at the bottom of the same hill is scheduled for the day after the fast of Av (this year on the 10th of Av is the fast). This would mean that the move will start on the 11th of Av, 5772 exactly 7 years after the geirush from Gush Katif.

And now it also appears that the attempts to slice the apartments on Ulpana Hill into 108 pieces will also not begin until at least the 11th of Av. The Inferior Sewerdwellers known as the Supreme Court just validated that extension based on the fact that the 30 resident families have already moved out and are living in caravans in the sweltering heat as opposed to their own apartments where the air-conditioning surely works better. How many Americans are still without air-conditioning on the East Coast?

I should point out that David was ruling in Chevron all the days that Ish Boshet ruled in Mahanaim (in the Land of Gil'ad across the Yarden). So Bibi cannot be Ish Boshet since there is not yet a shepherd over Yehudah or Yesha. So his position as Shaul is still assured even if Shaul Mofaz leaves his coalition. No one in Yesha has yet to challenge his authority. As long as Shaul was alive, even David did not challenge his authority over Israel or Sheivet Yehudah either. So no doubt Bibi is Shaul since he is not from the Eirev Rav, and he is not Ish Boshet. From the calendar for Migron's removal from the top of the hill to the bottom of the hill, this seems to be building up until Tisha B'Av.

The reason my air-conditioning is not working is that I never could afford one.

So you were nor forcibly removed from your permanent apartment with a properly working air-conditioner so that the American Secretary of State or the European Union would not send a Massive Protection Force to pull you out of your home. And if you live in America, you are not sweltering in the intense heat because of a massive storm system that mysteriously caused the power grid on the mid-Atlantic coast around Washington D.C. to collapse, causing at least a million or two million to be without electricity for at least one week. Your air-conditioner does not even exist. Have an Easy and productive fast.
